About the Role

AIXTRON is looking for a skilled SAP PP/MRP Consultant to strengthen our IT Operations team in Sofia. In this role, you will support and further develop our material requirements planning and production planning and execution processes. The role focuses on SAP PP-MRP and its cross-module processes within Supply Chain Management and Production. With our current SAP ECC landscape preparing for an upcoming S/4HANA transformation, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our core business processes.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary SAP PP/PS and MRP contact person, ensuring system stability, performance, and continuous improvement
  • Support and optimize SAP modules with focus on PP (Production Planning), PS (Project Systems), and MRP (Material Requirements Planning)
  • Manage and optimize MRP-related processes and configurations across the relevant modules
  • Perform hands-on customizing, configuration, testing, and validation within SAP PP
  • Coordinate with external consultants, vendors, and internal stakeholders for enhancements and project deliverables
  • Support business users in analyzing requirements, incidents, and change requests
  • Provide functional support for production and MRP-relevant topics, including planning processes and master data dependencies
  • Configure, test, validate, and document SAP process changes and enhancements
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT colleagues, external consultants, and implementation partners
  • Support integration topics between SAP PP and adjacent modules or systems
  • Contribute to preparation activities for the future SAP S/4HANA transformation
  • Evaluate improvement opportunities and support small-to-medium optimization initiatives

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3+ years of relevant experience as an SAP Consultant or Inhouse Consultant in manufacturing, operations, engineering, or supply-chain-related environments
  • Proven experience with SAP ECC R/3 customizing and strong functional knowledge of SAP PP and MRP
  • Good understanding of production planning processes, including MRP, capacity planning, BOM structures, shop floor control, and related operational data objects
  • Experience in module support, user support, incident handling, and change request management
  • Understanding of system integrations and cross-module data flows, for example with PLM and ERP sub-modules in a production context
  • Hands-on mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to translate business requirements into SAP solutions
  • Strong communication skills and stakeholder orientation
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Fluent English communication skills (C1 level or higher), both written and spoken

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of SAP PS is desirable
  • Exposure to adjacent SAP modules such as QM or WM is a plus
  • Experience with E-BOM to M-BOM transformation processes, including engineering change management, variant configuration, and BOM lifecycle management in a manufacturing context
  • Understanding of the interaction between MRP, procurement processes, and inventory management
  • Initial exposure to or interest in SAP S/4HANA transformation topics
  • Experience working in international and cross-functional IT environments
  • Also small knowlege in AWS welcome, we need to maintain this for the next 3 years at least.
