As well as being active at headquarters in Herzogenrath, AIXTRON's IT department has a
presence at various sites worldwide, providing well over 1,000 users with highly efficient IT services. To this end, we think globally and develop international business, IT and digitalisation strategies in future-oriented projects. Our employees manage and optimise the modern technology stack at AIXTRON. In cross-functional teams with the specialists from other departments, they devise new solutions that all colleagues can build on. This includes the provision of applications and cloud or big-data architectures. Our department grows through external recruitment as well as through outstanding training options with a job guarantee afterwards. I'm involved in developing and implementing future-oriented processes and a modern software infrastructure. My job gives me lots of scope for action and decision-making in a wide range of tasks. Information technology at AIXTRON is divided into three departments: IT Applications & Process, IT Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity. These are their tasks:
I am a junior IT system administrator in Client Management. My tasks include setting up the hardware, distributing and packaging the software on the client computers as well as diagnosing and solving software and hardware problems. What I enjoy is the friendly working environment and the great teamwork. In addition, further development and receiving professional training are important to me.
