About the Role

AIXTRON is looking for a motivated Azure Cloud Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure & Cloud Services team in Sofia. This position is ideal for an IT professional looking to further develop their expertise in Microsoft Azure and cloud technologies within a dynamic international environment.

As an Azure Cloud Engineer, you will support the administration, monitoring, and optimization of our Azure-based infrastructure while working closely with experienced cloud and infrastructure specialists. You will play an important role in maintaining secure, reliable, and efficient cloud services that support AIXTRON's global operations and will have opportunities to expand your technical skills through hands-on experience and professional development.

Your Challenge

• Support the administration, operation, and continuous improvement of Microsoft Azure environments and services using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Assist in the deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of Azure resources, including Virtual Machines, storage accounts, networking services and other services
• Monitor the health, performance, and availability of cloud infrastructure and ensure reliable service operations
• Support identity and access management through Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), including user and role administration
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues, service incidents, and performance bottlenecks
• Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes to ensure data protection and system resilience
• Participate in security operations, including patching, vulnerability management, and compliance activities
• Maintain and continuously improve technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge base content
• Assist in automating operational tasks using PowerShell, Terraform, and Azure-native tools to increase efficiency and standardization
• Collaborate with internal IT teams and external service providers on cloud and infrastructure-related projects
• Contribute to continuous improvement and optimization initiatives within the cloud environment

The skills needed

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in systems administration, cloud administration, or IT infrastructure support.
• Basic hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Windows Server, and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, TCP/IP, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Fluent English communication skills (C1 level or higher), both written and spoken.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Familiarity with Azure monitoring and management tools.
• Exposure to cloud security best practices.
• Optional experience with:
  • Microsoft 365 services (SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange Online)
  • Microsoft Intune or endpoint management solutions.
  • Microsoft Teams administration, including Teams policies, user lifecycle management, and collaboration services, is considered an advantage.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) concepts and automation tools.
• Microsoft certifications (AZ-900, AZ-104, or similar) are considered an advantage but are not mandatory.
