TRAINING PROGRAMS

Mathematical/technical software developers (“MATSE”) (f/m/d)

Training (3 years)

In a nutshell:

The training program for mathematical/technical software developers (“MATSE”) is managed in cooperation with RWTH Aachen University and its dual bachelor’s study program “Applied Mathematics and IT”. The practical part of the training takes place at our company and involves system development in the “Core Software” department. You will be part of the team which develops the control software for our MOCVD systems. Here, you will deal with current programming languages and frameworks and also help us in permanently improving and further developing our software, and thus our systems as well. The theoretical part of the study program, with lectures and practical sessions, takes place at the Data Centre of RWTH Aachen University. The degree combines both a Chamber of Industry and Commerce qualification as a MATSE and the awarding of a Bachelor of Science in “Applied Mathematics and IT”.

In detail:

Your mission:

  • MATSE – Do you want to know what vocation is hiding behind the name? Mathematical/technical software developer, or in other words:

  • The practically oriented vocational training will take place at AIXTRON in our Core Software department, which develops the control software for our production systems.
  • This is where you will come to grips with the technical side, consisting of modern programming languages and frameworks, and assist with the continuous improvement and development of the software – and therefore our systems.
  • The theoretical part in the form of lectures and exercises will take place at the data processing centre at RWTH.
  • And after your studies? You will have completed your training as a MATSE and have your Bachelor of Science in “Applied Mathematics and Informatics” all sewn up, making you ideally prepared to continue your career path as part of our team.
