Your Challenge

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes to enable reliable, high-quality data flows across the organization
• Develop and operate data integration solutions using the Microsoft technology stack (e.g. Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory and Azure Data Lake)
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the company's modern data platform architecture in close collaboration with senior Data Engineers and the Data & AI team
• Model, transform, and optimize data structures for analytical and AI/ML use cases, ensuring data quality, consistency, and governance standards
• Build and maintain data ingestion pipelines connecting various source systems (e.g., SAP ECC 6.0 and S/4HANA, CRM (SAP C4C), PTC PLM, Atlassian Jira) with the central data platform
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms for data pipelines to ensure operational reliability and transparency
• Collaborate with AI Engineers, AI Developers, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver fit-for-purpose data products
• Contribute to establishing and enforcing data governance policies, data cataloging, lineage tracking, and master data management practices
• Document data models, pipeline architectures, and technical specifications following enterprise standards

The skills needed

• You hold a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Informatics, Engineering, or a related field
• You have 3-5 years of professional experience in data engineering, data integration, or a related role
• You have practical experience with the Microsoft data stack, especially Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake; relevant Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate) are a strong plus
• You have solid SQL skills and experience with relational and analytical data modeling (star schema, data vault concepts)
• You have good programming skills in Python and a foundational understanding of data governance, data quality management, and metadata management
• You are familiar with version control (Git), CI/CD for data pipelines, and agile development practices
• You have an understanding of APIs, web services, and common data formats (JSON, Parquet, Delta) for integration scenarios
• Experience with SAP data extraction (e.g., via CDS Views, OData, or RFC/BAPI) and other Core-Applications is a plus but not required
• You bring analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a structured approach to problem-solving
• You have excellent communication skills in English; German is a plus
• You are highly motivated to grow within the Data & AI team in Sofia and contribute to building a strong, scalable data foundation for AIXTRON's digital transformation
