Your Challenge

• As part of our agile software development team, you will design and build modern, scalable frontend systems interfacing with the platform infrastructure that powers our solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
• Design and develop multiple user interfaces for our data solutions, ensuring a streamlined look and feel that integrates with AIXTRON's overall design and user experience.
• Work closely with Marketing, Data Scientists, and domain experts to understand requirements and iteratively develop user-centered solutions.
• Own the complete UI/UX lifecycle from user research and feedback collection to design, implementation, possible deployment solutions and usage evaluations.
• Make strategic tech stack decisions for frontend development and advocate for best practices across our UI portfolio and development.
• Create intuitive configuration interfaces that enable our colleagues to set up and deploy solutions quickly and efficiently.
• Design interfaces for data filtering, model management, AI chatbot integration, and other specialized tools across our product portfolio.
• Communicate with stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements, present designs, and incorporate feedback.
• Actively contribute to continuously improving our UI/UX standards and design system by for example staying up to date on the state of the art of AI assisted UI design and development.

What You Bring

• A degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or a comparable field.
• Solid experience in modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js, Angular) and TypeScript/JavaScript or other languages.
• Strong UX/UI design skills with proficiency in design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
• Experience building frontend application for data science applications and dashboards.
• Knowledge of responsive design, accessibility standards, and design systems.
• Experience with REST APIs and integrating frontend applications with backend services.
• Familiarity with standard Software development practices like CI/CD pipelines, UI testing,  version control (Git) and optionally containerized deployment (e.g. Docker/Podman).
• Ability to conduct user research, gather feedback, and iterate on designs based on real user needs.
• Strong communication skills and experience working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Creativity, independence, and a user-first mindset.
• A portfolio of your work, including GitHub repository, design samples, or other proof of previous projects.
• Knowledge of or Interest in the semiconductor industry is a plus but not required.
