Analyst, Compliance and Internal Controls (Fixed Term)

The Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical person to join our Compliance and Internal Controls team on a fixed term (circa 12 months) basis due to maternity cover. We would also be considering an intern for this role who wishes to gain experience in a multi-national company engaged in high tech R&D and manufacturing in the semiconductor industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes. Tasks involve conducting internal control review, identifying areas of improvement and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Working together with the group's Chief Compliance Officer and internal control team, plan and execute internal control review and testing across various departments and business units both locally and internationally
  • Assist in the development of the internal control plan based on risk assessments
  • Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, risk management and governance processes
  • Identify control weaknesses, inefficiencies and non-compliances
  • Prepare clear and concise reports with actionable recommendations
  • Follow up on findings to ensure timely and effective remediation
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement corrective action plans
  • Provide administrative support for the local finance team and compliance/audit team

Your Profile:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
  • It is advantageous to hold a Masters/higher degree, professional certification or experience in internal auditing, external auditing or a related field
  • Understanding of internal control frameworks
  • Knowledge of auditing standards, accounting principles and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with audit software and risk management software is a plus
