AIXTRON is a specialist in leading technologies for gas phase deposition. Day in, day out, our Development department works with our customers to push the limits of what is technically feasible. This covers the fields of electric mobility, optical data transmission, 3D sensor technology and 5G. They are inspired by a wide range of applications in the areas of automotive, smartphone sensor technology, power converters and amplifiers in mobile communications and the solar industry as well as wireless and optical data communication and a multitude of applications in the display field. Semiconductor components manufactured by systems from AIXTRON are used in all of these areas. Our focus is on close cooperation with highly innovative customers, joint further development and safeguarding the smooth functioning of systems.

Today, AIXTRON is a global player and has been a market-leading company for many years. In addition to our headquarters in Herzogenrath, we have research laboratories in Germany and the UK as well as branches in China, Taiwan, the USA, Korea and Japan. In 2019, around 700 employees around the world generated revenues of approximately EUR 260 million. Revenues of between EUR 260 million and EUR 300 million are expected for 2020.
