In detail:

Your mission:

  • Welcome to our strong AIXTRON team! In just three years, we will turn you into a versatile all-rounder. After all, you will familiarise yourself with a variety of departments as you go through your training programme. It is in these departments that you will find your professional home upon completion of your training, depending on your areas of interest and your suitability.
  • In concrete terms, you will gather fascinating experiences in Materials Management, in Sales and Marketing, in Purchasing, in the Human Resources department and in Finance and Accounting.
  • There you will quickly find out what your strengths are and get to know the relevant processes, tasks and, of course, people in the departments.
  • From a functional point of view, you will come into contact with a wide range of commercial and business administration topics. The areas in which you will acquire fresh knowledge include
  • Purchasing and storing goods and monitoring stock levels
  • Accounting, cost and activity accounting
  • Processing customer orders
  • Dealing with personnel-related topics
  • Completing various administrative tasks
  • Of course, your practical training will be complemented by your theoretical lessons at vocational school, so you will be more than ready for your final examination!

You will need:

  • Good school-leaving qualification (A levels / high-school diploma / Abitur, technical diploma / Fachabitur, commercial school, secondary school leaving certificate)
  • Presentable grades in German, English, mathematics and economics
  • To be able to express yourself well orally and in writing
  • To enjoy working with numbers and have an interest in commercial topics
  • Experience in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • To be an outgoing, communicative team player who likes to learn new things, has good organisational skills and is reliable and responsible

What you can look forward to:

  • A challenging field of activity with a high level of creative potential at an innovative, international and expanding technological leader
  • Flat hierarchies and direct interdisciplinary cooperation across management levels
  • A state-of-the-art work environment with the latest and most innovative methods from Industry 4.0 in an intercultural team with highly motivated colleagues
  • Targeted employee development through ongoing professional training and development of personal skills
  • An open corporate culture and a flexible working time model (without core hours) for a self-determined work/life balance
  • Above-average remuneration as well as a wide range of employee benefits ranging from healthcare and sporting activities to employee events

“What I like most is that everyone is really friendly and helpful. The approach is informal and that makes for a good working climate. ”

“At AIXTRON, you know that you have good career opportunities for the future – that’s not always the case at other companies. If I could start out again, I would certainly choose AIXTRON.” Marc Welter began his training as an office clerk at AIXTRON in 2004 and now works as an IT project manager.

“Even now, I still benefit from the contents of my training at AIXTRON. I am older and more mature – thanks not least to the colleagues who accompanied me during my training and in the following years. “
