How do we manage time and again to produce our state-of-the-art technologies on time, in high quality and within budget? By having exceptional specialists in our Production Engineering division. These technicians and engineers employ their skills, for example in electrical engineering, mechatronics, mechanical engineering or automation technology, exactly as needed in order to accompany product developments on their path from prototype in the laboratory to the test phase and all the way to the production plant. In short: Here we design, plan and optimize in order to achieve the best possible customer results.
Your tasks:
  • Analysing the product/process risk analysis to determine the test depth; determining remaining risks after performing the tests
  • Analysing, testing and evaluating user requirements, specifications and models in terms of testability
  • Preparing test specifications based on a detailed technical analysis of the functional and non-functional requirements (reliability, efficiency, usability, etc.)
  • Creating test models using suitable (testing) techniques
  • Carrying out and documenting tests according to specified test cases or with an explorative approach
  • Identifying, analysing, describing and localising faults
  • Developing and implementing systems for statistical process control (SPC)
  • Developing and implementing (software) test procedures for recording measurements for statistical process monitoring
  • Determining and assessing test equipment and test systems according to their intended use and planning them in accordance with the requirements and types of use
  • Evaluating the different test equipment and test systems with regard to
    • measurement deviation
    • repeatability
    • comparability
  • cause analyses (e.g. Ishikawa diagram, Pareto principle/Pareto chart)

Your responsibility:
  • Active involvement in the continuous improvement of product and process quality
  • Minimising product and process risks
  • Preparing and implementing test specifications for the qualification of customer systems
  • Introducing, monitoring and evaluating systems for statistical process control (SPC)
  • Active build-up and expansion of knowledge for the qualification of customer systems and statistical evaluation procedures/SPC
  • Your interfaces / your contacts:
  • Close contact with all departments involved in executing system projects
  • CE team members in development projects
  • Close interaction with specialist colleagues at other locations
  • Direct contact and close cooperation with suppliers

Your profile:
  • Degree in engineering or qualified technician with corresponding professional experience or a comparable qualification
  • At least three years of experience in quality and test management (AQL (Acceptable Quality Limits), SPC (Statistical Process Control), (process) FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), DoE (Design of Experiments)), as well as 8D reports and process documentation
  • Relevant knowledge of how to handle and use SPC (Statistical Process Control) procedures such as:
    • AQL, Acceptable Quality Limit
    • Quality by Testing (QbT)
    • Process Analytical Technology (PAT)
    • Quality of Design (QoD)
  • Relevant knowledge in the fields of measuring equipment capability
  • Experience with performing evaluations in accordance with Six Sigma (DMAIC and DMADV)
  • Experience with a statistical programming language would be an asset
  • Very good knowledge of MS Excel (diagrams, functions, pivot tables)
  • Good user knowledge of SAP R/3
