Metrology Engineer (f/m/d)

to start immediately, permanent position

Role Summary:

As part of a multi-disciplined team within a modern Engineering department, this role involves the evaluation and improvement of the Company’s world leading sensors. The Metrology Engineer will be expected to propose test solutions to validate both our internal prototypes and products as well as externally sourced products; they will work with our senior design engineers to feedback on potential product improvements.  Working with our key suppliers the Metrology Engineer will also be responsible for confirming appropriate product testing and certification, ensuring that all received instruments achieve the required performance.

Key Accountabilities:

• Defining product specifications and requirements
• Developing and conducting tests to capture product performance
• Testing of AIXTRON bespoke scientific equipment and ancillary devices 
• Testing of externally sourced sensors and metrology equipment
• Analysis and reporting of test results, which may include suggested product improvements

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Electronics / Engineering / technical degree or equivalent experience
• Comfortable working with precision sensors and interpreting data
• Competent in system and device troubleshooting down to component level
• Microsoft office capable (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Accurate, thorough, consistent, pro-active, assertive
• Good communication skills
• Conscientious, self motivated, capable of working autonomously when required
• Team player
