AIXTRON expands Sales and Service Team in Japan Due to the importance of the Japanese market for AIXTRON, the company´s representation there has now been expanded to a total team of 10.AIXTRON´s partner company, Moritani & Co., Ltd., has expanded its AIXTRON Sales and Service team, with the addition of Mr. Yasushi Yanagida in January of this year. Mr. Yanagida has long experience in the semiconductor industry having worked in this business in Chicago for many years. He joins Mr. Masayuki Satoh, who has represented AIXTRON for many years and has considerable experience in MOCVD, along with his assistant, Mr. Seiichiro Takahashi. At LINK, AIXTRON´s service company in Japan, a further technical expert has joined the service team representing AIXTRON. The LINK team is dedicated to providing service for AIXTRON´s customers in Japan. In the most recent development, AIXTRON has hired an additional Product Manager for the region. Dr. Diethard Marx, a German engineer who speaks Japanese, joined AIXTRON on April 1, 1998. He will be based directly in Tokyo, providing AIXTRON´s Japanese customers with even faster response times to their sales and service inquiries. Sales and service continues to be closely coordinated from the Aachen headquarters by Dr. Frank Schulte, who has been Product Manager with responsibility for Japan for many years, along with Mr. Markus Jakob who is responsible for service in Japan. Over the last number of years, AIXTRON has acquired many new customers in Japan. This expansion of the company´s service network in the region, is designed to provide the fastest possible service response time, so that customers can be assured of minimum downtime, maximum operation efficiency of their systems and direct responses to general inquiries.
