Second AIXTRON Mass Production MOCVD System
ordered by ITT Night Vision

AIXTRON is pleased to announce the purchase of a second AIXTRON MOCVD system AIX 2400 Planetary Reactor® by ITT Night Vision, Roanoke, VA, USA. This production expansion will enable ITT Night Vision to double its production of GaAs photocathodes for night vision equipment.

Bill Call, the OMVPE Technical Coordinator, stated that ITT Night Vision was very impressed with the performance and high efficiency of the first AIX 2400 purchased last year. "When it came to ramping up our production with a second reactor we had no hesitation about placing a repeat order with AIXTRON", he said. "We are highly satisfied, especially with their service".

ITT Night Vision is a unit of ITT Defense & Electronics, a management company of ITT Industries. It is the world´s leading producer of night vision equipment for military and law enforcement and has built up an excellent reputation for the high quality and outstanding performance of its products.
