AIXTRON is pleased to announce that Canare Electric Co. Ltd. has ordered an AIX 2400 mass production MOCVD reactor system. Canare Electric Co. Ltd. is a well known company specialized in cables and connectors for professional audio and video equipment, e.g. TV and video studios, audio visual halls and concert halls. Dr. Kano, director of research and development, reported that "Canare Electric Co. Ltd. decided for the AIX 2400 to be competitive in quality and costs in this booming market. The well known advantages of the Planetary Reactor® like excellent quality and uniformity, low cost of ownership due to high process efficiency, large capacity, reliability and throughput, will strengthen our market position." AIXTRON is again increasing its reference in Japan and has already sold nearly 30 MOCVD systems to companies such as Seiko EPSON, Yokogawa Electric, NEC, or other companies kept confidential. The two-flow horizontal reactor permits the handling of up to 5 x 4 inch, 8 x 3 inch or 15 x 2 inch wafers. The reactor has a laminar flow design without turbulence for precise control of the material composition, p- and n-doping and the achievement of ultra sharp interfaces. Wafer rotation is provided by the patented Gas Foil Rotation®. The machines are manufactured according to the highest quality standards, including AIXTRON´s ISO 9001 certification, the European CE as well as high German engineering standards. AIXTRON offers a wide range of epitaxial systems for MOVPE, VPE and LPE from R&D-oriented systems up to large-scale Planetary Reactor® production systems for up to 25x4" or 9x6" wafers.
