In Japan AIXTRON has received several new orders within the first six months of 1999 and plans to further strengthen its position in the Japanese market. In order to meet the customer’s needs, AIXTRON’s partner company, Moritani & Co., Ltd., has again expanded its AIXTRON Sales and Service team, with the addition of Mr. Takahiro Sakamoto and Ms. Satomi Muto in April of this year. They join the team of Mr. Masayuki Satoh, who has represented AIXTRON for many years and has considerable experience in MOCVD, along with his assistants, Mr. Seiichiro Takahashi and Mr. Yasushi Yanagida. At LINK, AIXTRON’s service company in Japan, the service team representing AIXTRON will also take on additional personnel. Continuous training at AIXTRON Aachen shall strengthen the LINK team to provide an even more dedicated service for AIXTRON’s customers in Japan. Dr. Diethard Marx, an experienced German MOCVD expert, speaking Japanese, joined AIXTRON on April 1, 1998. He is based in Tokyo, providing AIXTRON’s Japanese customers with even faster response times to their sales and service inquiries. Sales and service continues to be closely coordinated from the Aachen headquarters by Dr. Frank Schulte, who is Head of Product Management with excellent knowledge about the Japanese market, along with Mr. Markus Jakob and Mr. Thomas Vockenberg who are responsible for service in Japan. Over the last few years, AIXTRON has acquired many new customers in Japan. This expansion of the company’s service network in the region, is designed to provide the fastest possible service response time, so that customers can be assured of minimum downtime, maximum operation efficiency of their systems and direct responses to general inquiries.
