New Epigress Production and Office Facility in Lund, Sweden

Epigress AB, a member of the AIXTRON group of companies, the global market and technology leader in CVD equipment for R&D and production of selective compound semiconductors such as SiC, is inaugurating its new production and office facility on January 30, 2001.
Phase I of this new facility will more than triple the Epigress production capacity per year with a potential future Phase II upgrade, increasing the production throughput even further.
This new production and office facility, located in the IDEON Technology and Science Park in Lund, Sweden, will give us the long term expansion capacity, to meet the increasing global market demand for our process equipment and services, says Dr Jan-Olov Fornell, MD, Epigress.
The new facility is dedicated to meet the unique demands in terms of assembly, testing and QA of our single and multiwafer high temperature SiC CVD- and sublimation systems as well as our UHV-CVD systems for SiGe.
Dr Jan-Olov Fornell continues: Epigress will further optimize its production workflows in the new facility with the objective to shorten our lead times, from order to shipment.Epigress as a member of the AIXTRON group is now positioned for rapid growth while overseas service will be increasingly be made available through the AIXTRON network.
