AIXTRON's IR activities once again awarded FOCUS Investor Relations Prize Communicating with investors breeds confidence. German news weekly FOCUS used a questionnaire to test investor opinions on the IR activities of companies listed on the stock exchange. Aachen-based AIXTRON AG took first place in the Neuer Markt segment. Up-to-date, open, fair: once a year FOCUS presents its Investor Relations Award to a company with an honest and transparent approach to communication. Together with the investor magazine FOCUS MONEY and the Deutscher Investor Relations Kreis (the German investor relations group - DIRK), FOCUS surveyed 172 institutional investors both in Germany and abroad, as well as 3,807 German private investors, with separate categories for companies at the Neuer Markt, DAX and M-DAX segments. In the Neuer Markt segment, both institutional and private investors chose AIXTRON AG as number one out of all 341 companies. This is for the first time that a companies was awarded in both categories. Kim Schindelhauer of AIXTRON's Executive Board was delighted to receive this honor from investors: "Investor relations are an integral part of our corporate philosophy. The FOCUS Investor Relations Award, which we have now won for the second time since 1999, confirms that our approach to communications with analysts and investors is transparent and timely." These awards draw attention to the dialog between the company and the capital market, which can greatly influence investors' assessment of the company and thus influence the price and stability of shares.
