Aachen/Hsin Chu, June 01, 2001: Procomp is one of the leading suppliers of p-HEMTs and HBTs, owing to their excellent device results. The wafers are produced on both 8x4" and 5x6" configuration on a number of Procomp's AIX 2600G3 MOVPE Planetary Reactor® systems. Due to this success, Procomp is further ramping up their capacities and have purchased several more AIX 2600G3 systems, that will be delivered within 2001. Miss Sophie Yeh, chair person of Procomp, has made this decision due to the excellent cost ratio of the AIXTRON Planetary Reactors®. The driving factors for production costs are capacity, uptime and precursor efficiency - all of which the AIXTRON MOVPE systems have proven their competitive edge on. The AIXTRON group offers a wide range of epitaxial systems for MOVPE, VPE and LPE from R&D-oriented systems up to large-scale Planetary Reactor® production systems for up to 25x4" or 9x6" wafers. The AIX 2400/2600G3 is the most versatile MOCVD system for 5x6", 8x4", 12x3" or 35x2" applications. AIXTRON has sold over 500 systems worldwide. The company provides an extensive service and support network for maintenance as well as upgrading systems and is represented in over 15 countries.
